Hi, I’m Lori aka DesignerRamsey. I’m a work-at-home mom who has discovered that I LOVE to design pretty websites. Not only just pretty, but functional and geared to be successful.
My passion for website development started 12 years ago when I first logged onto the internet. I was fascinated with how websites worked. And back then they were way different than they are now. I began my career by signing up for a GeoCities free website. Remember those??? I attempted to design my first site on there, then I signed up for some other free website service – I now forget what they were even called. I started my first affiliate site there. I was so naive with design and so enamored with it that every page of my site had a different design. I had more fun designing the site, than actually working on the content/affiliate end.
I decided that I needed to learn how to design the right way. So I started taking online classes. Over the past decade I’ve had quite a few:
- html
- Photoshop graphics (over 36 weeks worth of classes here!)
- php
- CSS
- Front Page (my first html editor!)
- InDesign
I actually launched my first web design biz: Web Midwife back in 2002. I had a good many clients to sign on, where I designed their sites using Front Page. I even did a bit of “SEO” work – or “search engine optimization”. I helped to develop sites and helped them to rank well. Times have changed and what worked then, doesn’t necessarily work now.
In 2007 I discovered SiteBuildIt and created a site with them. It was wildly successful within 3 months. Eventually I bought several other websites and began designing “SBI” sites for clients. I even helped them to build their sites. I became an SBI! coach -I retired from SBI completely in 2010 and moved to WordPress and haven’t looked back!

In March of 2010 I started my first WordPress blog -since I have built many, so many I’ve lost count. Contact me if you want to see a list of all of them. I purchased a StudioPress Themes for WordPress and absolutely fell in love with designing this way.
Since then I have expanded my design biz to designing sites for SBI! owners and now WordPress users as well. I enjoy designing pretty blogs and sites. I can also design Blogger/BlogSpot blogs too.
